The main entry for Summer Horse Championships

The sun had crawled behind the clouds for the umpteenth time, in the last hour. Which both were glad for, to keep the heat off their backs. Frost's dark coat was already shining bright with sweat. Both weather and stress related. His skin twitched when he felt a heavy pat on his neck. The competitor before them was finishing the round. Concluded with an applause from the seated audience. 

A light breeze floated past them, making Frost shudder. He stood stiffly, only moving to swish at a fly with his tail. Hannah's gloved hands tightened on the reins.

Remember your training, she thought to her horse. Though, he was in no way a mind reader. She just hoped they wouldn't make the same mistakes as last time.
 
Just don't rush him, this time.

They were called up by the announcer. Frost leaned his weight forward, even before he was nudged to take a step. Good. He atleast knew more of what was expected of him. A graceful stride took them to the arena. And with a snort, he sped onward.

I have to say, I quite like how this one came out. Its way better than the last show I did, since I forced myself not to keep starting over and over again. This is probably more or less how Hannah will look in the future, also. Though nervous, Frost is a little more determined to make a good impression
